At our late arrival Isak bounced around the apartment a while then suddenly fell asleep. We were still pretty tired in the morning so we spent most of the morning walking around trying to find a supermarket.

We passed this open area with parts of stones that gave the impression of some old roman installation, now all in ruins as if Isak had already been there.I was dead set on having a pizza, so even when we were getting hungry I stubbornly refused any places we passed that didn't have it on the menu. Mihiri was getting frustrated. Eventually we stopped at a place called The Hedonist, where we got a beer and a pizza each. Nothing complicated and we were happy with what we got. Isak snored trough the whole lunch.

After lunch we went home to take a rest. And guess what we found around the corner (literally)? Yes: a supermarket. About 50m from the apartment. Typical.

Later we walked along the sea wall facing the Adriatic sea. Close to the north edge of Zadar we could hear something like a flute playing random notes. This turned out to be a "sea organ". Further ahead there was a model of the solar system as symbols in the street, the sun being modeled by a large disc made of solar cells. Isak ran around for a while on this disc and also found a small girl with a dog. We have not been letting Isak close to dogs before, because he might eat them, but this dog was used to children and simply stood there with a pained expression.

In the evening we went to the restaurant "Proto food & more" on  Stratico ul. The seats outside is actually inside glass walls so we did not have to worry about Isak and cars, but he did his best to try to trip the waiters over. The food was good, I had venison and Mihiri had gnocchi with a prawn sauce.

One funny thing with this restaurant is that we kept circling it later on. When wandering about the city we often ended up close to it. Oh, there's that restaurant again.
