We needed to leve the apartment at 11:00 latest so it could be cleaned for the next guest tomorrow. Our plane should have left at 20:45 but was delayed to 21:55. Fifi agreed that we could have the car sta ying at the parking place until 15:00, so between 11:00 and 15:00 we had to stroll around in Zadar.

We went around to a cafe Mihiri had spotted before and had a cheesecake+tea and tiramisu+coffee.
The alley was narrow so people passed close as we were sitting outside, and as usual we took turns in running after Isak who is very inventive with small things he finds (he usually checks if its edible first).

We strolled on and bought the required fridge magnet, and I saw a metal bottle I was about to buy but realized it would just be collecting dust somewhere. I already have so much junk.
To kill some more time we sat in a small park reading. About lunch time we strolled off to a burger bar called La Familiga (or similar) where I had a black Angus and Mihiri a Hot mess (a spicy burger, nothing else).
The burgers were served with thick french fries on the side and two deep fried onion rings. Isak entertained everyone (mostly me and Mihiri since we had to run after him) and he also managed to open doors to two nearby stores and disappear inside, looking for new adventures and things to poke (mom and dad can be so boring sometimes).

We then picked up the car, said bye to Fifi (I still can't mentally connect that name to that guy) and went on to the city Nin.
Nim is a nice town with a mix of modern looking stone building and ruins, with the mountains in the background. It is also facing water.

The town seemed strangely empty though. There were some tourists and some shops were open but the contrast to the Zadar bee-hive was strong. We didn't have any coins so we couldn't pay for the parking place, but we still didn't get a fine. This alone was strange.

We found a playground were Isak hit his head and after that (around 17:00) we headed on to the Zadar airport. Google guided us in to a shortcut with the worst road seen so far. We got there well in time, returned the car and soon discovered that our flight was delayed.

The flight was delayed until 21:55. So we actually stayed a long time at the airport. Isak ran around and found a car rental company where two bored young ladies were sitting at the desk. He ran in and started to climb on some car seats, before I managed to drag him out. They said I could leave him there. Tempting.

The flight home was eventless, as they usually are. At the baggage belt some genius had figured they could earn some coins by charging for the trolleys. The machine didn't work though so we could get one out anyway (we didn't have any coins). We got picked up by the long term parking shuttle and they dropped us just beside our car. It was cold, dark and in the middle of the night but the car actually started. 2.5h later (now in the early morning) we got trough the front door, discovered that the pellets were out for the house heating so I had to fill 10 sacks. THEN it was bedtime for a few hours sleep. And then back to work...
